  • Agreements and acknowledgments you complete;

  • Newsletter subscription information;

  • Payment and transaction information; and

  • Information you choose to provide in connection with Personal Strategy services.

Our website and third-party service providers may also automatically collect certain technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring websites, and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Respond to inquiries;

  • Schedule and provide Personal Strategy services;

  • Process payments;

  • Communicate about appointments;

  • Maintain appropriate business and transaction records;

  • Send communications you have requested, including newsletter emails;

  • Protect our rights and legitimate business interests.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Personal Strategy Information

Personal Strategy is a nonclinical consulting service and is not psychotherapy, psychological treatment, mental-health counseling, or healthcare.

Please do not submit medical records, mental-health treatment records, psychological testing records, Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, passwords, or similarly sensitive information through the website, contact forms, scheduling system, or email unless we have specifically agreed in advance that the information is appropriate and necessary.

Information provided in connection with Personal Strategy services is also handled in accordance with the Personal Strategy Services Agreement.

4. Scheduling

Appointment scheduling may be provided through Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace, or another scheduling service used by Sam Sarahbi LLC.

Information submitted when requesting or scheduling an appointment may be processed by the applicable scheduling provider in accordance with that provider’s terms and privacy practices.

5. Payments

Payments may be processed through Stripe or another payment processor identified at the time of payment.

Sam Sarahbi LLC does not directly receive or store complete payment-card information when payment information is submitted directly through a third-party payment processor.

Payment processors collect and process payment information according to their own terms and privacy practices.

We may retain transaction information necessary for accounting, tax, business-record, dispute-resolution, and other legitimate business purposes.

6. Website Hosting

Samsarahbi.com is hosted through Squarespace.

Squarespace and related service providers may process technical, usage, and other information necessary to host, secure, maintain, and operate the website.

7. Personal Strategy Session Formats

Personal Strategy sessions may be conducted in person, by telephone, by videoconference, or through another mutually agreed-upon format.

When sessions are conducted using a third-party communications service, such as Zoom or another videoconferencing or telecommunications provider, information transmitted through that service may also be subject to the provider’s privacy and security practices.

Clients participating remotely are responsible for choosing a location, device, and method of communication that provide an appropriate level of privacy for their participation.

When a Client chooses to participate in an in-person session in a public, shared, or otherwise nonprivate location, the Client understands that the privacy of the conversation may be more limited than it would be in a private setting.

Sam Sarahbi LLC does not record Personal Strategy sessions without the Client’s express prior consent.

8. Email and Newsletter Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter or other optional communications, we may use your email address to send those communications.

You may unsubscribe from optional marketing or newsletter emails at any time using the unsubscribe option included in the message.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent us from sending administrative or transactional communications related to services you have requested or purchased.

Email may also be used for scheduling, appointment information, administrative communications, and other communications related to an existing or requested service.

9. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website traffic and usage, maintain security, and improve website performance.

Third-party services integrated with the website may also use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy practices.

Most browsers allow users to restrict, block, or delete cookies. Doing so may affect the operation of certain website features.

We do not sell client information to third parties.

11. Client Confidentiality

We make reasonable efforts to protect information provided by Personal Strategy clients from unnecessary disclosure.

Personal Strategy is not psychotherapy, healthcare, or legal representation. Communications should not be assumed to be protected by psychologist-patient, therapist-client, physician-patient, attorney-client, or another professional evidentiary privilege.

We will not publicly identify an individual as a Personal Strategy client or use personally identifying client information in testimonials, marketing, teaching, publications, social media, or other public materials without that individual’s separate permission.

No website, email system, telephone service, electronic transmission, videoconferencing platform, scheduling system, payment system, or data-storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or maintained by us or by third-party service providers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our services, technology, vendors, business practices, or legal obligations change.

The current version will be posted on samsarahbi.com with its effective date.

Continued use of the website after an updated Privacy Policy is posted is subject to the then-current policy.
